Workshop Themes:
Relaxation Techniques & Stress Reduction
Goal: To provide children with immediate, practical tools to recognize and manage stress and busy feelings, fostering immediate calm.
From story-based yoga adventures to simple 'magic breathing' and movement we will practice finding stillness and resetting the body. Children will find ways to identify stress (the 'tummy flutter') and use powerful techniques to anchor feelings, alongside poses to release restless energy. Older children will explore the fight-or-flight response and how stress impacts our bodies through fun, games and gentle yoga poses.
Self-Love & Confidence
Goal: To build a strong foundation of positive self-worth, self-acceptance, and inner belief, empowering children to celebrate their uniqueness.
Activities include mirror work, positive affirmations, and playful partner poses to help children celebrate what makes them unique, building a positive self-image. Combining strong, grounding yoga poses to build physical and emotional self-belief, older children will explore their inner compass to navigate social challenges while maintaining self-worth.
Teamwork & Friendships
Goal: To enhance social skills, improve communication, and promote empathy, strengthening classroom and playground relationships.
Features fun, engaging games and group poses that teach children the joy of working together. We explore sharing, taking turns, and understanding others' feelings to build strong, happy friendships. For older children, this workshop addresses social issues like conflict and perspective-taking. This session explores empathy, effective listening through group activities that promote healthy, respectful relationships.
